There are so many challenges to keeping our kids progressing in Mandarin, and finding true immersion opportunities to fill those summer days is a huge opportunity for a language boost!
Outdoor Explorers is designed to inspire K-8 Chinese learners through intentional play, fun activities, and getting out in nature like never before. Our teachers are always ready to engage in child-led opportunities for language growth, and provide all the gentle encouragement needed to maintain a 100% Mandarin environment.
Staff members are native speakers, have passed a background check, and received first aid training.
Our mission is to develop K-8 Chinese speakers who can confidently communicate and collaborate with others.

Meet the Founders
We started Outdoor Explorers in 2023 because we needed an immersion summer camp in the Mid-South for our own kids. While the experience is designed for heritage speakers, all campers with conversational abilities are encouraged to attend!
